Youth have to be at the heart of the church in Tower Hamlets. They are the leaders of tomorrow (and today!)

All of our Tower Hamlets churches are welcoming and accessible to young people and many of them run dedicated sessions to help youth build friendships and grow faith. For more information about each church’s youth programme follow the links on our locations page.

The Van

For over 5 years, the team at St Paul’s Shadwell have run outreach sessions with their friends at XLP and their mobile youth centre to engage young people on a nearby estate. This project went so well that a vision emerged to multiply it out and empower churches across Tower Hamlets to run similar sessions in their communities to meet their local needs. So we built a Youth Club in a Van!

We are so excited to be able to get out and meet young people where they are. If you would like to run a session near your church/school/park or join our team of volunteers we’d love to hear from you.

Mobile

The joy of a van is that it’s mobile, we can go where-ever the young people are! We can also come to you 😉
Open

Inside we have plenty of space to play, chat and get to know one another. Windows provide natural light, the white walls keep the space bright and the ceilings high enough to mean you wont bash your head - promise!
Fun

As youth work requires this is a fun space! Play games, chat with your mates and be at peace.
Space

Some times young people just need a space to chat to someone with a caring ear.

Leaders Nights

To support churches across Tower Hamlets, we run regular evenings for Youth Leaders, Workers, Volunteers and all others involved in the youthwork to come together to learn, grow & be encouraged.

Youth East is a unity movement; gathering churches, youth groups and young people from across East London and beyond.

United with our friends in Hackney the vision is to see the tide of youth ministry rise where we live; young people alive and youth groups flourishing. We think Jesus is the best news ever, and together as local youth leaders we want to see young people across a region get to know Him.

Advance Youth is a movement started by The Message Trust to take young people deeper in their faith, seeing mission not as an outcome of discipleship but rather a form of it. We thought this was such a great programme we’re excited to replicate it in Tower Hamlets!

Every half term and holiday we bring together young people from across Tower Hamlets to do a mini mission! Mini because it’ll last 2 days, Mission because young people will be going out to share their faith. The sessions will include times of teaching and worship, evangelism and prayer as well as fun and games. If you are 12 to 18 and want to go deeper in your faith give Ben a shout and he can get you involved!
