The Van

We are mindful there just seems to be a lack of space for youth at the moment, if the youth club is closed, or after a long day of school, a coached football session is just too much, the churches of Tower Hamlets are pleased to introduce a mobile youth centre that is here to offer an alternative!

Our van is filled with games, has space to hang out and chat when it rains and brings tables and sports gear for when it’s dry.

Most importantly, this mobile community hub is run by a team of trained and vetted youth leaders who want to support teenagers through the fun times as well as the challenges of growing up.

Our sessions are always linked to a local church who are able to offer extra support. Families can also find out more about local events such as annual fireworks celebrations, garden parties and Tower Tots for any little siblings!

We currently are running 3 regular van sessions you can get involved in, see what’s near you on the map bellow - if there’s not a session near you give us a shout and we might be able to get something started!

  • Every Tuesday of term time we are parked up welcoming young people from the community from 3 till 4:30.

    This session is partnerd with the excellent Christ Church Spitalfield

  • Running on Thursdays during term time from 3 till 4:30 we are open with football and fun for all!

    This session is run as a partnership between St Paul's Shadwell and XLP.

  • Running on Thursday evenings from 5:30 to 7 we park up by the green and have a great time!

  • Mobile

    The joy of a van is that it’s mobile, we can go where-ever the young people are!

  • Open

    Inside we have plenty of space to play, chat and get to know one another. Windows provide natural light, the white walls keep the space bright and the ceilings high enough to mean you wont bash your head - promise!

  • Fun

    As youth work requires this is a fun space! Play games, chat with your mates and be at peace.

  • Space

    Some times young people just need a space to chat to someone with a caring ear.
